Bible Class
My teaching style is very animated and involves the students heavily. I am not thrilled about just doing 'lectures'. We are learning the geography of the land of Christ right now. We stand and draw the map on the floor and are moving our hands and are trying to make it so that they will have a picture in their mind of the lesson rather than just having facts to quote. I would like them to say at the end of the class that they 'went to the Holy Land'.

Scripture Memory
The scripture memory will take different forms. Sometimes they are to get different signatures from different people. This is to help them learn the verse, help them be able to clearly communicate it to others, and give a break from just looking at a card. It also can help those who would not go to church to hear some of the scriptures and the commitment that you and your family have to them.
Sometimes ther will speak them dramatically. Other times they will have actiontests to see how well they understand the passage. It will be a time of exciting learning.

Don't let the kids stress out. They are winners and will succeed.

What an Incredible Week
The first day of school an all that goes with it was truly exciting. I had the opportunity to get to meet many new students. I am excited at the amount of desire and creativity I hae found in the students. This is my first year here at Livingston Christian Schools. Last year I substituted a little and enjoyed that. This year brings a different challenge. My goal this year is to bring out the best in your students. That is a huge goal. Your students are very brilliant.

This week we will experience PICTURE DAY. September 11 will be picture day. Each student was given an envelope for pictures. That information should be filled out and returned to the school on TUESDAY, SEPTEMER 11. Lifetouch Portraits will be handling the pictures for the school.

Homework
Homework for each class is given throughout the week. Each student is responsible for their own work. If I notice that a student in deficient in their homework I will call the home. Homework is essential for further practicing of concepts learned in the class, learning different applications of things learned in class, or preparation for things coming up in class.

PARENTS
Some of you have expressed a desire for a short time presentation on Basic Computer Skills, Security and the Internet, Working with Photos, Searching Genealogies, etc. If there is enough request I will offer these classes at a time convient for you. Please let me know of your interest.
